First Baptist Church of Limestone, PA was organized in 1848 by Thomas E. Thomas of Wales. His son was the pastor until 1890. The church was originally known as Greenville Baptist Church until the town of Greenville  changed its name to Limestone sometime between 1910 and 1918. The main building we now reside in was built in 1891 and dedicated in 1892. Twenty-nine men have served as pastor at the church since its inception in 1884. First Baptist Church is still an Independent Fundamental Baptist Bible-Preaching and Teaching Church and has been a lighthouse in the community for nearly 170 years.
